Sofa Bed conversion(s) - is it possible??

Greetings;
In our Colorado 5th. wheel we have very limited storage space. In the hope to gain more storage room - I plan to remove the fold-out bed portion from our sofa bed and replace it with a storage box; i.e. made of plywood. Then the cusion seat will sit on the box lid.
Pls. let me know if this is a do-able and I welcome any assistance and advise to help me. Serious replies only please.
Thx. in advance,
BB

Something smells - BAD!!!

Greetings;
My daughters front steps are made of cement. Recently, some small animal; i.e. cat or chipmonk, etc. got in there and -passed away-!
In the summer heat, things are now very stinky. Phoohy!! Because there is only a smal opening and the fact the steps aare cement - I wonder if there is something on the market such as *liquid lime?
Lime, I know will speed up the decomposition and helpd kill the smell. But is it available in liquid form. Thanks in advance.

RE: Under counter coffee maker - question???

Well hello again;
In fact, I did mean the 'under the cabinet type' - and we are considering a "Black & Decker" - 12 cup model! FYI, if we do get that item - I'll keep a close eye on steam and moisture problems. Thanks for your input and interest.

Greetings;
Our present coffee maker sits on top of the kitchen counter of our RV. We now wish to 'free up' that space and purchase an "under counter" type. Any readers who have installed this item - please let me know if it's a good idea? And what make is best suited to travel (secured in place)? Thanks in advance for you assitance and advice.

Generator on back of the fiver (TITANIUM)

Greetings;
The fine folks parked next to us have a new Titanim fiver; i.e. 2008.
He wishes to install a metal platform at the rear of the rig to hold a metal box to store his Honda 3000W generator. He says it (box) must be about 2 ft. wide. Does anyone have a solution to help this man? As there is "NO REAR BUMPER" on his Titanim - can a generator platform with box added?
If so, how? Only serious replies, with recommendations or suggestions - please:h
Many thanks in advance,

Double check (count and recount) your meds!!!!

Greetings;
Before you leave home and head south next fall - I'll count and recount my prescription(s); i.e. pill by pill. Why? Here's what happened to me. I refilled a prescription before leaving Canada in Oct. 2007 and believed (without counting) I had 193 pills in the bottle I received from my local Drug Store.
About 1 month before returning north - I found - I would be approx. 20 pills short of the 193! When US Drug Stores I visited (I did visit several) refused to refill without a new prescription - I finally found an American Dr. and following a complete physical - got another 1 month refill prescription.
Lesson learned - check and double the exact number of pills before heading south.

Carpet Underlay missing 5 in. along kitchen!!!

Greetings;
Here's the situation. Our 2007 Colorado 31RL has carpet thru out except the kitchen and bedroom areas. The bedroom area is fine, but the other area has 4 1/2 ft. near the edge of carpet with about 5 1/2 in. of carpet underlay (foam which sits immediately under the carpet) is missing or was not installed, at all.
This leaves a noticable line in the carpet which is very easy to see.
The dealer sent a repair man but said he didn't have the right thickness of underlay! Did anyone have the same/similar problem?
Also, there's no underlay under the carpet(s) installed on our slide-out floors! Is this normal?? Thanks in advance, for any advise, etc.

BB here
I tried both the manual and switch methods again - but neither work! I also double checked the pins, etc. again and that seems in order as well. Any other suggestions, please.

LANDING GEAR - WILL NOT RETRACT

Greetings;
Yesterday, I extended my 2007 (31RL) Colorado's Landing Gear to reach my hitch and all went well. Once hitched, I retracted the landing gear but the leg on the same side as the control switch did not move. Then 40 amp fuse blow and was replaced. I tried moving them up and down and down and up using the switch but the problem remains.
The other side works fine. What - if anything can I do or try to fix this problem? It's the weekend and no technician(s) are available before Monday next!! All suggestions, recommendations and advice welcome.

Old style tripod kingpin stabilizer - too short!!

Greetings;
Where I park (long term) - I have a king pin which is too high off the ground to properly set the tripod legs far enough apart to give any front end support. I have the old type kingpin tripod w/o a screw extention. Is there a strong reliable way to set up some temporary extension to each leg to increase their length until I can purchase a newer (better) model stabilzer?? In about one month, or so
Any suggestions, advice and recommendatiions are welcome! Thankx

Serpentine Belt Tensioner and Belt need replacements!

Greetings;
I was just advised that both my serpentine belt tensioner plus the belt itself need to be replaced on my 2005 Dodge RAM Laramie 5.9L Diesel. With only 43,000 km or(32,000 mi.) approx. on it - I was very surprised. Has anyone else seen the same problem? If so, how much does it cost; i.e. parts and labour, etc? Tkx. in advance.

Thetford Roof Cleaner plus Black Streak cleaner combo????

Greetings;
A quick question, please! I have a little Thetford Roof Cleaner left - but not enough to do the entire roof; i.e. only 1/4 of the bottle. What if I mixed an equal amount of Black streak cleaner also from Thetford - would this be an o.k. solution to mix together and clean the roof in one shot??
I'm far away from an R.V. supply outlet and want to clean my 5th. wheel's rubber roof real soon. Any and all suggestions and advise welcome. Tkx. in advance.:h

Year old Peek-a-Poo with a fever!!!

Greetings;
We just returned from the Vet's Clinic. According to the Vet our has some sort of tummy (intestine) bacteria - likely from something it ate at the beach or in our RV Park. Go figure! *Maggie is now on meds for the bacteria problem - but still has a high fever.
What can be done to help lower the fever? She only wants to sleep and refuses to drink; i.e. water. Any suggestions, recommendations and advise is very much apreciated. Tkx. in advance.:(
p.s. The only time Maggie tried to drink - it made her sick!!

woodgrain fridge door panel moves slightly?

Greetings;
My good wife just noticed that the top door panel (woodgrain) moves ever so slighty i.e. left to right - not up and down! The door itself is fine and the play is only approx. 1/2 or so. Our fidge is a Norcold and the other, larger (lower) door panel is fine.
Any suggestions - that does not involve duct tape - wife does not like duct tape. Tkx. in advance.
